December

I know it is still November, but I can't believe December will come this week.  I had planned to have a workshop in November but the month has gotten away from me.  December is so very busy we will see if I can get something together for this month. 

Reflecting on this past Thanksgiving week I want to say how thankful I am for my Family and all of the support they give me.  I hope they know how much I love and appreciate them.

December is the month for memories and giving.  I love this time of year, even with the snow.  I hope to post soon about the launching of my website but that is also slow going. 

So I will end with this, Happy Thanksgiving and I hope to see and hear from you in December.

Scrapbook Sale

I will be having a scrapbook sale this Saturday, Oct. 16, 2010 from 8 a.m. until 12 noon.  I'll have paper, rubber stamps, embellishments, layouts, cards and more.  Come check it out.  My website is getting close to done.  Soon I will have more information on custom scrapbooks and workshops up on the website.  For now if you are interested shoot me an email.  Hope any and all can make it to the scrapbook sale!

Loving Echo Park

So I was perusing the web this evening, looking at blogger websites with cute ideas and I kept seeing mention of Echo Park paper.  So I thought to myself, how do I not know who Echo Park is?  Well I found them.  They are this super cute paper company that started in April.  The just have a few paper packets right now but they are adorable!  I am in love with their Halloween Collection.  I am going to seek this out and post some pages ASAP!  If you haven't seen them yet, check out their website .

Starting Fresh

It has been over a year since I have had any workshops and I think I am ready to get going again.  I am also going to start offering crafting services to anyone interested.  I'll get a price sheet up this week.  You can contact me at maryrufus@gmail.com if you would like me to create a scrapbook or some card for you.  I will also design a workshop for you and your friends for a fun girls night out if you are interested.  They start at $10 per person.  I'll keep you posted on prices.  

I am also going to set up a website soon to display artwork and items/services for sale.  I'll get the web address up as soon as possible.  

I'm excited to start scrapbooking again and I'd love to help anyone interested in getting their pictures in an album.

I can't believe it's been almost a year since I posted. Sometimes I don't know where the time goes. I rarely spend time scrap-booking any more. I don't know why but I've lost my gusto. I've had a personal troubles this past while. I've been trying to get pregnant since 2007. I've had 3 miscarriages since then the worst being just this year in February. It's been very emotionally draining. It seems unfair to me that people who don't care to get pregnant can so easily when people who want to seem to have the most trouble. I guess we all have to deal with different challenges in life.

I really need to start scrap-booking again I miss it. Sometimes life just seems so busy that allowing yourself to spend time doing something for yourself would be selfish or a waste of time.
