Lazy Days of Summer

It's so nice to do nothing in the summer. Even though, for all the nothing we are doing summer is zipping by. I love sitting outside and reading while my kids play in the yard. If only it could be warm all year long except for 1 month in December so we can have a snowy Christmas. I am planning a Jungle party for my Daughter's 7th birthday in August and I think I'm going to do some pages for that in workshop next month. I think July is just one of those lazy days months. I'm loving sitting back and watching the clouds roll by.

I think I'll post some of my pictures since I never get around to doing some scrapbooking.

This is one of the last pictures I took of Carter. This was at Easter at my Grandma's the Saturday before he died. He was content to just sit and be held and watch the kids screaming about not getting equal amounts of eggs. He was such a sweet spirit and I'm grateful to be his aunt.

This one was taken in December. Ellie's first lost tooth. It was loose for 2 months before she finally wriggled it free. What a cutie!

My Noah and my nephew Larry hanging out in Noah's room. Larry loves to follow Noah around and even though Noah says he bugs him, Larry's his best friend.

We will be making an advent calendar this Month. My sister has made a sample of the small version and it is so cute. I am working on the larger version, I need to buy some glue :). I'll get it up as soon as I can. Thanks to Sarah for her sample and Liza for her great idea and getting us the metal.

May Layout

I'm going to have to figure out a better way to take pictures or scan my layouts, but for now this will do. The workshop went really well. I think the pages turned out super cute. And, I only used items I already had. I think I'm going to have to take inventory on all my paper and will probably have enough to do even more projects!

June Workshop

The workshop went well this month. I'll post pictures soon. Hopefully. I keep meaning to and it just doesn't happen. I'm excited for June's project. We will be making a magnetic Advent Calendar for Birthdays. The workshop will be Friday, June 19th at 6:30 p.m. I'll post a picture of the sample as soon as we get it made. Liza is going to help me out with the project this month. Thanks Liza!

May Workshop

This month I'm going to do some spring cleaning. I'm creating layouts with the paper that I already have. I'm hoping I can come up with an outdoor theme because I have some great pictures of Ellie and Noah playing outside that I really want to get on paper.

A lot has happened this past month. On April 14th my nephew Carter died. I have felt so lost because stuff like this only happens to other people. I can't even imagine the turmoil my sister is going through. I hope she knows how much I love her and how I wish I could do anything to make it better. I know that it would be near impossible for me to go on. I'm so glad she has so many friends to support her right now.

Spring is about New Beginnings and I hope to focus my life on my family and get some more scrapbooking done.

March 28, 2009 Workshop

I will be having a workshop on March 28, 2009 at 9:00 a.m. We are going to be doing an Easter/Spring layout. I love this time of year when we can start going outside again and wearing shorts and light jackets. Spring smells the best out of all the seasons. It's like a new beginning.

So I've been trying to get this blog up, but have not had the time to take pictures of my projects so I decided to just start with a post.

Welcome to Mary's Scraptastic Blog. My hopes for this blog is to notify my customers of upcoming workshops and to post layout ideas for pages, mini albums, cards and just general paper crafting items. Feel free to comment on any posts and I hope you all enjoy.
